The Identity That Creates Money
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
For years, I thought creating more money was mostly about strategy.
The right marketing plan.
The right offer.
The right sales process.
The right business model.
But what I've discovered is that while strategy matters, money tends to follow something much deeper: identity.
In this episode, I'm sharing why I believe money is often less about what we do and more about who we're becoming.
We'll talk about:
- Why people don't behave above their self-belief
- The difference between chasing money and creating it
- Why receiving is often harder than giving
- How trust, responsibility, and leadership influence income
- Why boundaries are identity in action
- The role faith plays in becoming before we see results
- How your business is reflecting what you believe to be true about yourself
If you've ever felt stuck, inconsistent, or frustrated despite knowing what to do, this episode might help you see that the answer isn't necessarily another strategy.
It may be a deeper relationship with yourself.
Because money isn't just responding to what you do.
It's responding to who you believe yourself to be.
And when you start living from truth instead of fear, your reality has a way of catching up.

Hey manovs, welcome back to another episode of Bold Heart's Big Moves. Okay, so today we are talking about something that completely changed the way I think about money, business, and success. Because for years, you know, I honestly thought that money was, you know, just about strategy and doing the next right thing. And I thought it was all about learning like the right marketing techniques and doing the right marketing, finding the right business model, working hard enough, being disciplined enough, being productive enough. Like I get it. But I can tell you that that's actually not what I've realized business is about. Because to be truth, like I'm gonna tell you a little secret. I can market, I can do the marketing, I know how, I know the strategy, but I hate it. And it's not because I'm not good at it, it's just because I would rather be doing this, connecting with my audience and marketing, you kind of do that too. But you know, for me, like having to find the right places to market in the right groups, etc. It was it was such a hassle. And I want to make sure that my time is spent with my clients and connecting with people and with my family, etc. And so when I say that, you know, I thought money was mostly about strategy. I I would also say that I thought it was about taking all of this time away from the things that I loved. And because it kind of was that way with marketing. I didn't really love marketing. I still to this day don't love marketing. I actually hired somebody else to do it for me, right? But as I sat back and I really wanted to sit into like what it was that made me trust me the most, okay? Because that's such a big deal when it comes to business, is learning how to trust yourself. And we need to start asking questions like what kind of identity naturally creates money. My identity wasn't around marketing, my identity was around creation and connecting, right? And when I realized that I stopped chasing money, stopped trying to force it, didn't become desperate around it, but I actually just kind of started creating it. Because when we're doing business, our clients don't love it if we are putting the desperation and our energy and and our thoughts around money on them. But we're gonna do that subconsciously if we don't get clear about our own money stuff and our own money story. That's not a simple strategy problem, that's often an identity problem, and today that's what we're gonna explore because identity really is what's at the core of just about everything that we do and everything that we attract. So because before anyone like gets nervous, I'm not saying that your worth determines your income. God already established that. And it's infinite. We're not here to earn our worth, we're not here to prove our worth, right? And there's no way that your worth would ever fit in your bank account. There's not a number that can fit that. But what I am saying is money tends to flow towards certain behaviors, money flows towards value, solutions, trust, leadership, and people willing to help solve problems or create solutions. So it's kind of the same thing, or create what people want. And these things are rooted in identity because behavior is simply identity in action. That's really seriously what it is. This is why I say people don't behave above their self-belief. Every day, whether we realize it or not, we're acting out what we believe about ourselves. And the woman who believes she's capable behaves differently than the woman who believes she's inadequate or doesn't trust her value, doesn't trust that she can deliver the value. And a woman who trusts herself makes different decisions than the woman constantly second-guessing herself. The woman who believes she's valuable shows up differently than the woman who's trying to prove herself. Identity drives behavior, and identity is what you know to be true about you. Behavior creates results, results reinforce identity, and that cycle consistently goes over and over and over and over again. So, what would happen if you start asking? Like, instead of asking, like, can I do this? You start asking, how do I do this? And not in a like self-abandonment type of a way, where you're in a scarcity mindset, but you actually sit back and think, like, how would I deliver that? And you get curious, a curiosity mindset, like, how can I actually do this? If you started thinking that way, what would shift? It's a subtle but powerful question. A woman who creates money isn't waiting to feel fearless, she trusts herself to figure things out, and she does so by sitting with herself for a little bit, doing some brainstorming, considering, but not letting the fear rule the day. Because she understands that mistakes are going to be part of her growth, and she doesn't see challenges as proof that she's failing, she sees challenges as part of the process, and because she's willing to stay with herself, she's willing to stay in the game longer. And that is why she creates a different outcome. That's why she starts creating more of the results that she actually wants. And this might be one of the most important concepts in today's episode that money loves responsibility. And money loves the person who knows her identity. And she loves that identity because money follows the love and above energy. It's not about perfection or hustle, exhaustion, or responsibility. It's more about the ability to look at yourself and say, I'm freaking awesome. And I love stewarding that awesomeness. That includes my time, my energy, my skills, my relationships, finances, opportunities, and growth. One of the things I've noticed is that women who create wealth stop spending enormous amounts of energy blaming circumstances. That doesn't mean that life has always been easy for them. Many of them have experienced really hard things. But instead of asking, like, why is this happening to me? They start asking and with curiosity, what am I going to do with what I've been given? That's where leadership begins. And that type of leadership creates value, and value creates income, a consistent income, because value and identity are either consistently, they're consistently there and hopefully consistently growing. And if your money is going to come in and react to that energy, it's going to consistently grow too. So let's talk about receiving. Because many women are incredibly good at giving, giving time, energy, attention, support, compassion, and encouragement. But receiving is uncomfortable, way more uncomfortable than giving. Receiving compliments, help, money, support, opportunities, recognition, and rest. I see this a lot actually in the female entrepreneur community where we're great at giving, but we're not great at receiving. That's why if somebody does actually ask for help, we're great at giving solutions. But we're not great at asking for help ourselves. So many women spend a lot of their entrepreneur lives earning, proving, serving, and caring. Uh, but receiving feels really vulnerable. But if we're going to be abundant, we need to learn the art of receiving. We need to learn this skill. You can't create a life filled with support if you reject support every single time it appears. You can't ask for growth while resisting the opportunity that growth brings. You can't pray for abundance while subconsciously believing that you don't deserve it or wondering if you do. That identity creates money in a way that is scary. But yet, if we sit back for just a minute and we really, really do trust our identity, we start to realize that receiving is not selfish. It's stewardship. It's a stewardship over who we are, our value and our mission and our purpose. It was created not only just for the giving, but the for the receiving aspect of it too. And let's think about this. I mean, if you are a really great giver, you can't be a great giver unless if you're also a great receiver. So if I could install one belief into every entrepreneur, it would be this I trust myself. Not because I'm perfect, not because I know everything, and not because I'm never going to make mistakes, or because I'm never going to do anything wrong. It's just because you know how to adapt. I know how to recover, and I know how to listen to my inner wisdom and return to myself and my values every single time. That's what the unbreakable boundary is. The women who create consistent income don't always have the best strategy, but they trust themselves enough to keep moving and they keep moving forward. And that momentum creates opportunities, and momentum and opportunities create results. The results that you want. This is where boundaries come into the conversation. Because boundaries are identity in action, they are who you are and how you're going to behave that way. Without shame or guilt or apology apologizing to someone else when they demand you shrink, or they demand you don't charge that much, or they question. Your boundary is I know who I am. This is what I value, what I believe, and how I lead. This is what I'm available for. This is not what I'm available for. The woman who creates wealth isn't trying to become someone else. She's just aligned with who she is. And she's happy to grow that person. She's excited to see where this person goes. And she's really excited to get on board. Because she's creating from truth. She's creating from alignment with who she is, what God created and put into this universe as a perfect miracle. And that type of truth creates trust, and trust creates consistency, consistency creates value, and value creates income. So the version of you who creates the life you already want already also exists. But it's not somewhere outside of you. It's already there, it's already inside of you. Not in 10 years, not after another course or another certification or the next strategy session. You're there already. You just don't know it yet. You've got to operate from different beliefs, the standards, boundaries, and decisions and levels of trust that that version of you that's receiving at that level has. Every time you choose self-respect, courage, honesty, responsibility, compassion, boundaries, trust, and that's when you start moving closer to that version of you. And one of the reasons why faith is so powerful in business is because faith gives us an identity bigger than our circumstances. The world teaches I'll believe in myself when I see the results. But faith teaches I'll act according to who God says I am before I see the results and trust that they're going to come my way. That's the way the universe works. It's when we behave a certain way and show up a certain way, that's when the results show up. And that's a completely different way of living. It's often about what people allow to keep them moving when evidence hasn't even caught up yet. Because when we identify, that's evidence enough. And we know that the results are coming. That literally is universal law. And God operates inside universal law. Faith allows us to become before we actually have, before we possess it, and to trust something before we actually see it in our field of vision, to lead before we necessarily always feel ready. This is why I say that reality isn't always truth. But yet when we lead from truth, what we desire becomes our reality. Truth becomes the reality. So if we want truth to be our reality, we've got to lead from truth, not from what we see in our field vision at the moment. So I want to leave you with this question. If money follows value, trust, responsibility, leadership, and service, who are you going to be? Who are you becoming? And who did God create you to be now? What are your gifts, talents, passions, dramas? Because if you start looking at that, you're going to start seeing a thread. A thread of truth. And give you it'll give you a pathway forward into who you are and how you serve this world. Who are you becoming? Because your business is always reflecting your identity in some way. And when your identity expands, your decisions expand with it. Your boundaries expand, your capacity expands, your ability to receive expands, and your income expands along with it. Because now you're living in love and above. So money is not just about strategy, it's about, and it is about implementing the strategy, but it's more often than not about how much you really trust yourself and how well you live your boundary by honoring yourself and leading from truth. That's when incredible things start showing up in your reality because you're actually living from truth. So, my loves, remember to live from truth, not reality. If you want reality to reflect your truth. Okay, if you guys would love some help implementing these ideas into your business. Feel free to give me a call. We'll take a look at your relationships, what boundaries you've set, what boundaries need to be set, where you want to go, and the version of you that actually has that thing. So that way you can move the truth needle into reality. Okay, my loves, until next week. I'll see you soon. Bye bye.
